Why is there an Inbox?

The Inbox is where new, potentially interested students will show up. There are a few ways people end up in the Inbox, but it will primarily be from students filling out surveys.

Our fall outreaches can be chaotic and overwhelming. We gather hundreds and sometimes even thousands of surveys and want to ensure everyone who has expressed interest at least hears from us once. But, we also know that not every person who fills out a survey is interested in getting involved. They might have just wanted a free giveaway.

How do we know who has and has not been contacted, who is no longer interested, and who we should keep pursuing?

That’s why we have the Inbox.

New students will show up in your Inbox. As a leader, it’s now your responsibility to reach out to them and invite them to events, to learn more about them and their spiritual life, to tell them more about Cru, etc. The Inbox is where we see who needs to be reached out to for the first (or second or third) time. Once we know that they are not interested or not responsive, or they’ve expressed at least an openness to Cru, they will be removed from your Inbox (Lesson 3.0 will go through these details).

To summarize: The Inbox is where you will find new students to reach out to for the first time.
