Engagement level refers to a person’s connection with a local movement.
Keeping this field updated is crucial for celebrating what God is doing in people’s lives. It also helps leaders thoughtfully plan ministry activities.
Here are the engagement levels, their intended meanings, and who they’re intended for:
Newer Students
- Open– A student who is open to hearing more from Cru. They may or may not have attended an event. But, they have not been consistently involved. This is the default status when an Inbox item is marked as “Open/Interested”.
- Involved– Students regularly attending movement events.
- Try Later – Similar to the Open engagement level. This student was more interested, but now isn’t a good time. You want to remember to reach out to them in the future. (Example: someone came to your Bible study once or twice in the fall, but then stopped attending. When the new semester starts, you could find your “Try Later” list to see if they want a fresh start.)
Student Leaders
- Engaged Disciple– A follower of Jesus who has intentionally engaged a non-believer in a spiritual conversation within the past semester. (The goal is for individuals to progress from merely attending movement events to actively looking beyond themselves to share their faith.)
- Multiplying Disciple – A follower of Jesus who is engaged in the Great Commission and making new disciples. (Examples: groups focused on reaching target audiences, evangelistic Bible study, discipleship groups etc.)
Other
- No Longer Interested – Someone who has told you they no longer want you to contact them.
- Staff – People who work for a Cru ministry
- Co-laborer – An official volunteer for a Cru ministry (Someone who is not a part of the movement audience. For example, a local pastor, an alumni, etc.)
