Managing Events

There are two types of Events in Connections[Beta].

The first are called Shared Events which come from nationally supported registration tools (Event Registration Tool, SMAPP, etc.). The second are called Local Events.

The distinguishing factor is where the event is created and managed. The shared events cannot be edited or changed in Connections[Beta]. You only have read access to these events in Connections[Beta]. But, this will allow all the leaders in your movement to see who from their movement has registered (as well as their current registration status) for events like Fall Retreat and Winter Conference.

The Local Events are smaller events that you create and edit in Connections[Beta]. Connections[Beta] will create RSVP and Check-In Typeforms for these events. For Local Events, Connections will do contact matching for the attendees and notify the Primary Movement Admin of new attendees. You could use these at Large Groups, Bridges Halloween Parties, etc.
