In order for someone to have access to view Contacts, Inbox records, and Groups & Events for a specific movement, these two things must be true:
They must be a user in Connections[Beta].
They must be affiliated with the movement, WITH the role type of Staff or Volunteer Leader (whichever is appropriate for them)
If you only add a “Volunteer Leader” affiliation for a student, they won’t automatically be given access to the movement. They must be promoted to a user first. Promoting them to a user gives them general access to the website. The affiliation adds them to the movement(s) they need access to.
The role type is important because there could be scenarios where people are participants in movements and leaders in others. This allows for that flexibility.
