There are two types of events in Connections[Beta]. The first are called “National Events”. These come into Connections[Beta] from external systems (like Event Registration Tool and SMAPP). Basic registration information can be viewed in Connections[Beta] so staff and student leaders can open Connections and see which of their disciples have started registering for events like Fall Retreat and Winter Conference.
The second type of events are called “Local Events”. These are created and managed completely in Connections[Beta]. They will allow for event registration and check-in (no payment processing). Connections[Beta] will even notify the Movement Admin if someone new attended your event. This allows us to follow up with first-time visitors and ensure that everyone who wants to get involved has that opportunity.
