A privilege you have as a Cru staff member is to mobilize ministry partners to pray for and give to your ministry. A portion of New Staff Orientation (NSO) is devoted to train you biblically and in the skills you need to successfully raise your funding; this is what we call Ministry Partner Development (MPD).<\/p>

New staff members are not eligible for vacation during their initial MPD, even if the MPD extends beyond 12 months. All new staff members have the freedom to take the equivalent of one day off per week. After the first six months of MPD, the MPD Coach may approve 2-3 days of vacation for the new staff member.<\/p>

Senior staff members married to new staff members are subject to the vacation policy for new staff members in the preceding paragraph. Vacation is deferred until they complete their MPD. Within two weeks after your acceptance to staff, you should receive a call from an MPD leader. PRE-NSO MPD ASSIGNMENTS<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Prior to your arrival and to prepare for the MPD training, you must fully complete the Pre-NSO MPD Assignments<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>

One of the Pre-NSO MPD Assignments is to raise the funds needed for your NSO expenses. The assignment will walk you through how we want you to raise support for the training.<\/p>

Even if you have received some MPD training, we do not want you to raise monthly<\/em> support prior<\/em> to NSO; please only focus on raising special gifts<\/em> for NSO. This also applies to interns who are joining staff.<\/p>

After completing MPD Week at NSO, you may begin to raise your monthly support. Remember, this is for your benefit!<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
